Nel Blakely is a multi-disciplinary artist, writer and folk-rock musician based in Portland, Oregon. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Film & Photography from Ithaca College and a Certificate in Integrated Media from Mount Hood Community College.
Her work has been featured at the Brassworks Gallery in Portland, Oregon and KVFM - Montez Family Art Club in Frankfurt, Germany. Premier Press awarded her work in their student wrapping paper design contest in both 2024 and 2025.
As a freelance designer, she's created custom artwork for The Moss Works, Smith Family Bookstore and the band Wave Generator. She especially loves working with small local businesses.
Nel is a fully-licensed Beatlemaniac, certified Trekkie, and a cartoon enthusiast. She was born in Buffalo, New York and grew up on the mean streets of the Erie County Fairgrounds. She collects rocks, books and four-leaf clovers.
