The MHCC Theatre Department was eager to announce the return of Shakespeare to campus with an illustrative poster highlighting the bawdy, whimsical character of The Bard’s most absurd comedy. A unique feature of this production was a live performance of Felix Mendelsson’s score arranged for two grand pianos. The two pianos in the illustration frame a dreamlike landscape influenced by Belle Époque absinthe ‘green fairy’ poster art and theatrical silhouette ‘gobo’ lighting effects.
